2020–2021 Season—A Success for S1 Racing!
The Belle Neige Competition Club and Canada were proudly represented by three S1 Racing athletes this year, despite constraints associated with COVID-19. Italy was conquered through their performances and podium finishes.
Arianne Forget won 7 gold medals on the European circuit in giant slalom, super giant slalom, and slalom. Laura Beauvais ended the season with four podium finishes in slalom in Sestriere and Abetone in Italy. Simon Trudeau had three solid top 10 finishes, including 5th place in slalom in Sestriere.
The pandemic brought its share of constraints, but the Belle Neige Competition Club was able to develop an effective way of training its athletes. The development of our athletes was optimized, allowing them to move into the top spots for races on European peaks. Since no races were organized in Canada, Arianne, Simon, and Laura had the opportunity to compete in Europe among the top athletes through, among other things, the involvement of Plaisirs Gastronomiques.
We are proud to be associated with these young athletes and the devoted team working with them. Congratulations to athletes Simon Trudeau, Arianne Forget, and Laura Beauvais, their experienced coaches, and the Belle Neige Competition Club for a unique, yet outstanding season!
The ski season is now done, so it is now time to work on physical conditioning to prepare for the next season on the slopes. The 2021–2022 season is fast approaching, and the S1 Racing group can once again count on Plaisirs Gastronomiques to support their athletes’ ambitions.
